RESOLUTION NO. 83- 36
A RESOLUTION ORDERING DELETION OF CERTAIN
WORK AND REDUCTION OF CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS
EAST NINTH STREET ET AL. ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 83-1
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Gilroy, California,
that the following changes be made in the proceedings being had pursuant
to Resolution No. 80-71 of preliminary Determination and of Intention,
adopted by this Council on August 4, 1980, as amended:
1. The construction and installation, together with the
acquisition of the property necessary therefor, of the shoulder lane in
Tenth Street from Alexander Street to Chestnut Street and the four inch
asphalt overlay, berm and asphalt driveway conforms on Forest Street
for its entire length within the project area be, and they are hereby,
ordered deleted.
2. The alternate median island configuration on Tenth Street
between Chestnut Street and Alexander Street, more particularly shown
on the plans approved by said Council be, and it is hereby, ordered
substituted for the original median island configuration.
3. Certain assessments to be levied in said proceedings be, and
they are hereby, ordered reduced as set forth in Exhibit "A" hereto
attached and by reference incorporated herein, following the opening of
bids for the work and due to the elimination and substitution of certain
of said acquisitions and improvements, as hereinabove set forth.
4. The total estimated cost of said project and the total
estimated balance to assessment be reduced from $1,127,022.81 to
$993,938.29.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Engineer shall make said
changes either on the face of the assessment or by filing an amendment
thereto.
