RESOLUTION NO. 83 - 41
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
HONORING AND C01~'ffiNDING SERVICES OF
FRED O. WOOD
CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, FRED O. WOOD was appointed City Administrator/Director
of Finance of the City of Gilroy on the 16th day of March, 1964; and
WHEREAS, FRED O. WOOD has announced his retirement after more
than nineteen years of faithful, dedicated service to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to honor FRED O. WOOD
for his insurmountable, notorious contributions and achievements which
are too numerous to list herein, both in leadership and professional
abilities and to the best interest of the City and community as a whole; and
WHEREAS, it is through FRED O. WOODIS outstanding efforts and cap-
abilities in creating a liaison with numerous Federal, State, County and
local agencies, City Staff and the general public, that has proved for
the betterment of our community and all citizens of Gilroy; and
\~EREAS, the Gilroy City Council desires to take this opportunity
to commend 1m. FRED O. WOOD'S outstanding conscientious, dedicated, loyal
service to his colleagues, fellow citizens, community and the American
way of life during his tenure with the City of Gilroy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Gilroy City Council does
hereby commend and honor FRED O. WOOD, who will be sorely missed and wish
him every continual success and happiness in his future endeavors.
