RESOLUTION NO. 83-70
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY ORDERING VACATION OF THE PORTION
OF BANES LANE EAST OF CHESTNUT STREET
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy did on
September 6, 1983, adopt Resolution No. 83-64 declaring
its intention to proceed under the Public Streets, Highways
and Service Easements Vacation Law to vacate the portion
of Banes Lane east of Chestnut Street, as shown upon the
map attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, notices of the adoption of such resolution
were published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS. no objection to the proposed vacation was
filed at or before the hearing by the Council on October 10,
1983, at 8:00 otclock p.m., in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall at 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy~ California, the
time and place fixed for the hearing in said notices, and the
hearing having been duly held, and the Council having duly
considered the evidence presented as to the vacation described
hereini
The Council does hereby find that the described
portion of Banes Lane east of Chestnut Street is unnecessary
for present or prospective public use.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council
of the City of Gilroy that the described portion of Banes
Lane east of Chestnut Street be vacated~
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of October, 1983,
by the following vote:

LINK, TAYLOR, VALDEZ and
GOODRICH
