RESOLUTION NO. 84-2
A RESOLUTION, AFTER PUBLIC HEARING, OF THE
CITY OF GILROY PURSUANT TO DIRECTION BY
SANTA CLARA COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORM;~TION
COMMISSION WITH REGARD TO A REORGANIZATION
PURSUANT TO THE DISTRICT REORGANIZATION ACT
OF 1965 DESIGNATED AS ItMOREY-MANTELLI 83-2"
BE IT RESOLVED AND FOUND BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GILROY, as follows:
1. That the Santa Clara County Local Agency
Formation Commission, in accordance with the District Reorganiza-
tion Act of 1965, has done all things as indicated in its
Resolution No. 83-55.
2. That the City of Gilroy was duly designated the
conducting agency for further proceedings to reorganize the
territory described in said Resolution No. 83-55 and Exhibit "AIt
attached hereto and incorporated herein.
3. That the City Council, as conducting agency, has
also duly performed the ~ollowing:
a. The Council has initiated and completed
reorganization proceedings.
b. This proceeding for reorganization is
designated as uMOREY-MANTELLI 83-2".
c. The territory described in Exhibit "A"
hereto is ordered reorganized and is
organized to include the following changes
of organization.
i. Annexation to the City of Gilroy.
ii. Detachment from the South Santa
Clara County Fire District.

d. The City of Gilroy, as conducting agency,
reorganized such territory as indicated
above after a duly noticed public hearing
this date, and without election. it being
found and concurred in that the territory
described in Exhibit "AIf is uninhabited.
and no written protests to the reorganization
were filed prior to the public hearing.
4. That the herein described reorganization and each
of the actions of the City of Gilroy herein described were in
full accordance with the District Reorganization Act of 1965,
Government Code Section 56320 which is part thereof, and the
terms and conditions set forth in Resolution No. 83-55 of the
Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, 1984.

BEING a portion of the Solis Rancho, as patented and being a!so
a portion of Ranch Lot 2-7 as shown on Map No. 7 accompanying
the Final Report of the Referees in the Las Animas Rancho Partition
Suit, Action No. 5536 had in the Superior Court of the State of
California, in and for the County of Santa CJara, and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southeasterly corner of Mantelli
Annexation 77-4 to the City of Gilroy as described
in Ordinance Number 77-27 of said City Adopted
August 15, 1977, being in the northerly line of
Pappani Annexation 76~3 to the City of Gilroy as
described in Ordinance ~umber 76-16 of said City
adopted September 7, 1976, and running thence along
the said northerly line N.89050'E. 41.12 feet to
the northeasterly' corner of said Pappani Annexation,
being also the northwesterly corner of Hecker Pass _
Morey Avenue Annexation 69-1 to the City of Gilroy
as described in Ordinance Number 879 of said City
adopted February 19, 1970; thence continuing along

Annexation in the original westerly line of Morey
Avenue; thence along the easterly boundary of said

in said boundary at the northwesterly corner of Moruy
