RESOLUTION NO. 84 - 23
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING FILING
APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS FOR PUBLICLY OWNED WASTE-
WATER TREAT1lliNT WORKS AND PROVIDING CERTAIN ASSURANCES.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gilroy
that the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to
sign and file, for and on behalf of the City of Gilroy, an Applica-
tion for Federal Assistance under the Federal ~\Tater Pollution Con-
trol Act, as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.) and any agreements or
other documents necessary to secure and receive a grant under said
act and a state grant under the Clean Water Bond Laws of 1970 and
1974 and the Clean Water and Water Conservation Bond Law of 1978 for
construction of wastewater treatment works.
BE IT FURTHER ~ESJLVED that the City of Gilroy hereby agrees
and further does authorize the aforementioned representative to
certify that it has and v7ill comply with all applicable state and
federal statuatory ?nd regulatory requirements related to any fed-
eral or state g:;:-ant received, including but not limited to the
Assurances contained in the Federal Grant Application and the State
Grant Contract, The Freedom of Information Act,S U.S.C. 552 as
amended relating to the right of the public to obtain information
and records, The National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, U.S.C.
470 et seq., as amended, relating to the preservation of historic
landmarks, The Copeland (Anti-Kickback) Act, 18 U.S.C. 874, 40 U.S.C.
276c and the regulations issued thereunder, 29 CFR 3.1 et seq., and
The Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, 40 U.S.C. 327 et
seq., and the regulations issued thereunder.
