RESOLUTION NO. 84 - 63
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
HONORING AND COMMENDING SERVICES OF
ALBERT L. BRITTAIN
FIRE CHIEF
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, ALBERT L. BRITTAIN, was appointed Fire Chief of the
City of Gilroy in October, 1964; and
WHEREAS, ALBERT L. BRITTAIN announced his retirement after
twenty years of faithful, dedicated service to the City and more than
thirty years total municipal public safety service; and
vffiEREAS, the City Council has determined to honor ALBERT L.
BRITTAIN for his contributions and achievements both in leadership
and professional abilities and to the best interest of the City and
community; and
WHEREAS, ALBERT L. BRITTAIN has faithfully and energetically
served the City of Gilroy for the betterment of our community and all
citizens of Gilroy; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy City Council desires to take this opportu-
nity to commend ALBERT L. BRITTAIN'S outstanding conscientious, dedi-
cated, loyal service to his colleagues, fellow citizens, community,
and the American way of life during his tenure with the City of Gilroy.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Gilroy City Council does
hereby commend and honor ALBERT L. BRITTAIN who will be sorely missed
and wish him every continual success and happiness in his retirement
and future endeavors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of September, 1984, by the fol-
lowing vote:
