RESOLUTION NO. 84-74
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY PURSUANT TO DIRECTION BY SANTA CLARA COUNTY
LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION WITH REGARD TO A
REORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO THE DISTRICT REORGANIZATION
ACT OF 1965 DESIGNATED AS ~HOMAS ROAD REORGANIZATION 84-3
OF THE CITY OF GILROY.
BE IT RESOLVED AND FOUND BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY. as follows:
1. That the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation
Commission. in accordance with the District Reorganization Act
of 1965, has done all things as indicated in its Resolution
No. 84-30.
2. That the City of Gilroy was duly designated the con-
ducting agency for further proceedings to reorganize the territory
described in said Resolution No. 84-30 and Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein.
3. That the City Council, as conducting agency. has also
duly performed the following:
a. The Council has initiated and completed reorgani-
zation proceedings.
b. This proceeding for reorganization is designated
as THOMAS ROAD REORGANIZATION 84-3.
c. The territory described in Exhibit "A" hereto is
ordered reorganized and is organized to include
the following changes of organization:
i. Annexation to the City of Gilroy,
ii. Detachment from the South Santa
Clara County Fire District.
d. The City of Gilroy, as conducting agency, reorganized
such territory as indicated above without notice of
hearing and without election. it being found and

concurred in that the territory described
in Exhibit "A" is uninhabited.
4. That the herein described reorganization and each
of the actions of the City of Gilroy herein described were in
full accordance with the District Reorganization Act of 1965,
Government Code Section 56322 which is part thereof. and the
terms and conditions set forth in Resolution No. 84-30 of the
Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of November, 1984

DESCRIPTION OF "THOMAS ROAD REORGANIZATION 84-3":
BEING a portion of Lot 13 as shown on "Map of the Massey Thomas'
senior Subdivision of Las Animas Ranchlot No. 15", which map is
filed for record on Book "G" of Maps at page 59, Records of Santa
clara County, California, and being more particularly described
as follo....'s:
BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of said Lot 13 in
the bed of Carnadero Creek, as shown on said map, being
also the. northeasterly corner of "Miller Avenue Annexation
No.1" to the City of Gilroy as described in Ordinance
No. 742'of said City adopted June 9, 1965, being also the
southwesterly corner of "Gilroy Unified School District
Annexation 75-4" to said City as described in Ordinance
No. 75-19 adopted September 15, 1975, and running thence
along the line common to Lot 13 and Las Animas Ranchlot 11
South 1032.10 feet to the northwesterly corner to Parcel 2
as shown on Parcel Map filed for record in Book 395 of Maps
at page 51, Records of Santa Clara County; thence along the
northerly line of said Parcel 2 N.89059'30"E. 164.51 feet
and 5.81001' E. 117.94 feet to the southwesterly corner of
Parcel 1 as shown on said Map; thence along the westerly
line of Parcell N.20l9'E. 275.85 feet and N.34056'E. 514.93
feet to the most northerly corner thereof in the bed of
Carnadero Creek in the southwesterly line of said "Gilroy
Unified School District Annexation 75-4"; thence along said
southwesterly line N.59000'W. 684.83 feet to the point of
beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 8.356 acres.
