RESOLUTION NO. 85-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY PURSUANT TO DIRECTION BY SANTA CLARA COUNTY
LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION WITH REGARD TO A
REORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO THE DISTRICT REORGANIZATION
ACT OF 1965 DESIGNATED AS DAWN WAY REORGANIZATION 84-4
OF THE CITY OF GILROY.
BE IT RESOLVED AND FOUND BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY, as follows:
1. That the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation
Commission, in accordance with the District Reorganization Act
of 1965, has done all things as indicated in its Resolution
No. 85-02.
2. That the City of Gilroy was duly designated the con-
ducting agency for further proceedings to reorganize the territory
described in said Resolution No. 85-:02 and Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein.
3. That the City Council, as conducting agency. has also
duly performed the following:
a. The Council has initiated and completed reorgani-
zation proceedings.
b. This proceeding for reorganization is designated
as DAWN WAY REORGANIZATION 84-4.
c. The territory described in Exhibit "A" hereto is
ordered reorganized and is organized to include
the following changes of organization:
i. Annexation to the City of Gilroy,
ii. Detachment from the South Santa
Clara County Fire District.
d. The City of Gilroy, as conducting agency. reorganized
such territory as indicated above without notice of
hearing and without election, it being found and

\ concurred in that the territory described
in Exhibit "A" is uninhabited.
4. That the herein described reorganization and each
of the actions of the City of Gilroy herein described were in
full accordance with the District Reorganization Act of 1965.
Government Code Section 56322 which is part thereof, and the
terms and conditions set forth in Resolution No. 85-02 of the
Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of April, 1985
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: ALBERT. GAGE, KLOECKER, MUSSALLEM,
PATE, VALDEZ and HUGHAN
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE

DAWN WAY REORGANIZATION
84-4
A portion of Lot 11 as shown on Map No. 7 accompanying the Final Report
of the Referees in the Las Animas Rancho Partition Suit, Action No. 5536,
in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Santa Clara, and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of Parcel 1 as shown on a Record
of Survey Map filed for record in Book 185 of Maps at Page 7, Santa Clara
County, California, records, and running thence along the northwesterly line
of said Parcell, N 400 37' E, 264.5' to the corporate city limit as sho~~
on the map of the Tho:nas-l1esa Annexation 68-1 to the City of Gilroy; thence
continuing along the co:cporate city li.'11it line, N 400 37' E 223.55'; thence
northerly along a C'..lrve to the right with a radius of 42.00 feet from a
tangent bearing of N 'i.go 23' W, through a central angle of 200 55' 29" an arc
length of 15.34 feet; Dlence S 400 37' W, 7.17 feet; thence N 490 23' W,
159.88 feet; t~ence parallel with the norL~westerly line of said Parcel 1,.
S 400 37' W, 641. 86 feet; thence leaving the corporate city limit line,
S 880 29' E, 235.82 feet to the point of beginning and containing 2.26 acres
of land more or less.
