RESOLUTION NO. 85 - 50
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING THE GILROY
LITTLE LEAGUE }~JOR GIRLS ALLSTAR SOFTBALL TEAM.
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Little League Major Girls Allstar Soft-
ball Team has represented the Gilroy Little League and the City of
Gilroy in tournament play and are deserving of special public recog-
nition and commendation; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Little League Major Girls Allstar Soft-
ball Team won the District 9, Section 2, and Division 2 Little League
Softball tournaments thus qualifying for the Western Regional Tourna-
ment in Pasadena; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Little League Major Girls Allstar Soft-
ball Team's participation at the Western Regional Tournament was the
first time a Gilroy Team has ever reached this level of competition
and by their representation created a favorable image of Gilroy and
its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Gilroy that it takes great pleasure in congratulating the Gilroy
Little League Najor Girls Allstar Softball Team, its manager and
coach for their dedication and effort representing the City of Gil-
roy and join with the people of Gilroy in thanking and commending them
for their outstanding performance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of August; 1985, by the
