RESOLUTION NO. 85-88
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL PLAN FOR THE
CITY OF GILROY
WHEREAS, after study and public hearing, the
Planning Staff and Planning Commission have recommended
amendments to the General Plan for the City of Gilroy and
of the General Plan Map, and
WHEREAS, the Council, after study and public hearing,
has approved the amendments set forth below,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council
of the City of Gilroy approves the following amendments to
the General Plan and Map of the City of Gilroy;
1. The application of HEALTH DIMENSIONS, INC.,
GPA 85-1, for a General Plan change from
Outside the General Plan Area to Park/Public
Facility Within the 20 Year Planning Area,
and associated text change, on APN 838-05-001
and 838-05-019; 38.57 acres, east of Highway 101,
south of Cohansey Avenue and north of Las Animas
Avenue, pursuant to an Environmental Impact
Report and Mitigation Measures.
2. The application of GILROY UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT, GPA 85-2, for a General Plan change
from Low Density Residential to Park/Public
Facility on two sites, APN 783-21-004, 14 acres
north of Mantelli Drive and west of Santa Theresa
Boulevard, and APN 790-05-028 and 790-05-033 to
790-05-037, 55 acres south of Day Road and east of
Santa Theresa Boulevard, and the accompanying
Negative Declaration.
3. The application of the RAISCH COMPANY, GPA 85-3,
for a Genera- Plan change from General Industrial
to Commercial (General Services) on APN 841-66-002,
20.25 acres, east of Chestnut Street, west of
Highway 101 and south of Banes Lane, and the
accompanying Negative Declaration and Mitigation
Measures.

specifically Section III~ Natural Environment -
Conservation Policies and Implementation
Procedures (III-1 and III-7).
