RESOLUTION NO. 86-72
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY DELEGATING AUTHORITY FOR SETTLEMENT
OF CLAIMS WITHIN THE CITY'S DEDUCTIBLE UNDER
THE ABAG INSURANCE PLAN.
Upon advice of legal council for the ABAG PLAN, and
good cause appearing therefor:
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does delegate
settlement authority for tort claims as follows:
a) Up to $1500.00, to George Hills Co., adjusters
for the ABAG PLAN, and
b) For claims between $1500.00 and $50,000.00,
to the Claims Committee of the PLAN corporation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to pay any claims so allowed or
settled upon written request of those authorized.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of October 1986
