Resolution 1986-74 . . RESOLUTION NO. 86-74 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ESTABLISHING ARTERIAL STOPS ON LAS ANIMAS AVENUE AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD CROSSING IN THE CITY OF GILROY. Upon recommendation by the Director of Public Works of the City of Gilroy, and good cause appearing therefor, The City Council does hereby find that the described location is a major crossing with a demonstrated need for stop signs but no warning devices within the meaning of Vehicle Code section 21351.5, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY that Las Animas Avenue shall be an arterial stop street at its intersection with the Southern Pacific Railroad Crossing, and the Director of Public Works is hereby directed to install two arterial stop signs stopping eastbound and westbound traffic on Las Animas Avenue at said location.
