RESOLUTION NO, 87-58
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE AN EASEMENT
FOR CONSTRUCTING AND MAINTAINING A LEVEE ON OLD
ORCHARD COMPANY TRACT 7988.
WHEREAS, a portion of the easement for constructing
and maintaining a levee on the north side of Uvas Creek
on Old Orchard Company Tract 7988 is unnecessary for present
or prospective public purposes and should be vacated,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Gilroy that it does hereby declare its intention
to vacate an easement for construction and maintaining a
levee on Old Orchard Company Tract 7988 as is precisely shown
on a map on file in the Department of Public Works.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be
published and said easement posted as required in the Public
Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law under
which this proceeding is instituted; and 8 p.m., September 2l,
1987, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 7351 Rosanna Street,
Gilroy, California, is hereby designated as the time and place
at which said City Council shall hear any and all persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
One publication of said notice shall be made in the
Gilroy Dispatch, a newspaper published in the City of Gilroy, at
a date at least ten (IO) days prior to the time of hearing.
