RESOLUTION NO.87~67
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY PURSUANT TO DIRECTION BY SANTA CLARA
COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION WITH
REGARD TO A REORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO THE
DISTRICT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1965 DESIGNATED AS
MESA ROAD 87~2.
BE IT RESOLVED AND FOUND BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GILROY, as follows:
I. That the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation
Commission, in accordance with the District Reorganization Act
of 1965, has done all things as indicated in its Resolution
No. 87~11.
2. That the City of Gilroy was duly designated the con~
ducting agency for further proceedings to reorganize the territory
described in said Resolution No. 87-11 and Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein.
3. That the City Council, as conducting agency, has
also duly performed the following;
a. The Council has initiated and completed
reorganization proceedings.
b. This proceeding for reorganization is designated
as11ESA ROAD 87...2.
c. The territory described in Exhibit "All hereto
is ordered reorganized and is organized to
include the following changes of organization:
i. Annexation to the City of Gilroy.
ii. Detachment from the South Santa
Clara County Fire District.
d. The City of Gilroy, as conducting agency, reorganized
such territory as indicated above without notice
of hearing and without election,it being found and

concurred in that the territory described
in Exhibit "A" is uninhabited.
4. That the herein described reorganization and
each of the actions of the City of Gilroy herein described were
in full accordance with the District Reorganization Act of
1965, Government Code Section 56322 which is part thereof, and
the terms and conditions set forth in Resolution No. 87-11
of the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission.

BEING a portion of Ranchlot 11 as shown on Map No. 7
accompanying the Final Report of the Referees in the Las Animas
Rancho Partition Suit, Action No. 5536 had in the Superior
Court of the State of California in and for the County of Santa
Clara, and being more particularly describe~.a~ follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the centerline of Thomas Road
with the centerline of Mesa Road as shown on Record of Survey
Map filed for record on March 30, 1966 in Book 207 of Maps at
page 20, Records of Santa Clara County, California, and running
thence along the centerline of Thomas Road, as shown on said
Map, being also the. easterly lin~ of Thomas-Mesa Annexatio? to
the City of Gilroy as described in Ordinance No. 846 of said
City adopted March 18, 1969, N.oo07'20"E. 76.31 feet to an
intersection with. the westerly prolongation of the
northwesterly line of that certain 3.42 acre parcel of land
conveyed to Albert Fortino by deed recorded April 7, 1983 in
Book H457 at page 278, Official Records of Santa Clara County;
thence along said westerly prolongation N.83023'19"E. 30.2 feet
to the northwesterly corner of said 3.42 acre parcel, being
also a corner to Parcel "B" as shown of said Record of Survey
Map; thence along the southerly and southwesterly line of
Parcels .B. and .C. as shown on said Map N.83023'19.E. 56.00
feet, S.44057'07"E. 255.08 feet, S.39035 '02"E. 291.87 feet,
S.33051'16.E. 291.89 feet and S.30003'38.E. 392.25 feet to the
westerly common corner to said Parcel .C. and Parcel .A. as
shown on . Record. of Survey Map filed for record on March 30J
1966 in Book 207 of Maps at page 21; Records of Santa Clara
County; thence along the southwesterly line of said Parcel .A" .
S.28001'50"E. 703.80 feet, S.25010"05"E. 200.25 feet and
S.28001'50"E. 270.97 feet to the Southwesterly corner of Parcel
"A", being the southeasterly corner of that certain parcel of
land conveyed to Albert Fortino and Brenda Fortino, husband and

central angle of 8052'28- for a distance of 27.88 feet; thence

108.16 feet to the most westerly corner of said parcel in the
northwesterly line of said Parcel .B.; thence along said north-
