Resolution 1989-06 ~ . . RESOLUTION NO. 89 - 6 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY COMMENDING SERVICES OF MRS. MARY PRIEN WHEREAS, Mary Frassetti Prien was born and raised in the Gilroy area, has raised her family here, and has been a part of local history for over seventy-five years; and WHEREAS, Mary Prien has cared for the sick and injured of the community as a nurse at Wheeler Hospital and on private duty; and WHEREAS, Mary Prien has served the community at the Library and in the Museum, and as the Director of the Gilroy Historical Museum since 1975, and as the City Historian since 1986; and WHEREAS, Mary Prien's unique knowledge of Gilroy and its people is an asset to this community and those working to preserve its history. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Gilroy City Council does hereby commend and honor Mrs. Prien for her caring contributions to Gilroy which will influence the people of this community in her lifetime and for generations to come. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we do hereby extend our best wishes to Mary Prien and her family for continued success and happiness.
