RESOLUTION NO. 91-23
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
PROHIBITING PUBLIC TRAFFIC ON UNDEVELOPED STREETS
IN THE COUNTRY ESTATES SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, opening vacant, undeveloped streets in remote,
rural areas is conducive to loitering, vandalism, reckless
driving and other breaches of peace and public safety,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That all traffic is prohibited on all undeveloped
streets in the Country Estates subdivision except for
vehicles of the developer, his contractors and public
utilities involved in construction.
That streets in the subdivision shall be opened as they
are developed.
That the City Administrator shall install signs or
barricades from time to time prohibiting public traffic on
such streets.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 1991 by
the following vote:
