RESOLUTION NO. 91 - 42
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING AND COMMENDING
SERVICES OF BRUCE M. JACOBS, CITY ATTORNEY, UPON HI:SRETIREMENT.
WHEREAS, BRUCE M. JACOBS, was appointed City Attorney of the City of Gilroy
on January 2, 1968; and
WHEREAS, BRUCE M. JACOBS has announced his retirement after more than
twenty-three years of faithful, dedicated service to the City; and
WHEREAS, BRUCE M. JACOBS has always discharged these duties with the
highest sense of professional ability and integrity; and
WHEREAS, BRUCE M. JACOBS has always and willingly taken time from his very
busy schedule to provide legal guidance to the City Council, various Boards and
Commissions and Staff; and
WHEREAS, his counsel has given legal direction to many major City projects;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to honor BRUCE M. JACOBS for his
professional abilities and for his dedication to the City and community as a whole;
and
WHEREAS, BRUCE M. JACOBS has always been a valued City Officer and
extraordinary friend during his tenure with the City of Gilroy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Gilroy that we hereby extend our most sincere thanks to BRUCE M. JACOBS for a job
well done and wish him every success in his continuing private legal practive.
BE, IT FURTHER RESOLVED that BRUCE M. JACOBS will be sorely missed and we
further wish him every continual success and happiness in his future endeavors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of July, 1991, by the following vote:
