RESOLUTION NO. 91 - 62
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
APPLYING TO THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF
SANTA CLARA COUNTY FOR CERTAIN MODIFICATIONS TO THE URBAN
SERVICE AREA OF THE CITY OF GILROY FOR 1991
WHEREAS, there were filed with the Planning Commission of the
City of Gilroy verified petitions on the forms prescribed by the
Commission, requesting modification of the Urban Service Area in
the manner shown on the attached map, consisting of two pages; and
WHEREAS, the matter came regularly before the Planning
Commission at a duly noticed public hearing on October 3, 1991, and
the Planning Commission as a result of evidence received and
studies made, recommended that requests USA 90-4, encompassing
parcels APN 790-06-008 through 790-06-011, 790-06-024, 790-06-036,
and 790-06-037; 91-1, encompassing parcels APN 790-06-004 through
790-06-006,790-06-017,790-06-018,790-06-013, and 790-17-010; and
91-2, encompassing parcels APN 790-04-037, 790-04-038, 790-04-062,
790-04-063, 790-05-039, 790-17-022, and 790-17-003; be recommended
for inclusion into the Urban Service Area by a vote of 4-2; and
WHEREAS, the matter came regularly before the City Council at
a duly noticed pUblic hearing on October 7, 1991, and the City
Council reviewed and considered the record before the Planning
commission, and heard and considered further evidence at that time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to the Cortese-
Knox Act, the City Council of the City of Gilroy hereby applies to
the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission to take
proceedings to amend the Urban Service Area of the City of Gilroy
to include the lands encompassed by the applications named above
and described herein and shown on the map attached hereto on the
ground that these parcels constitute a logical extension of the
existing Urban Service Area and are compatible with the needs and
plans for development in the City of Gilroy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall file a

certified copy of this resolution with the executive officer of the
Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission.
