RESOLUTION NO. 91-79
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY DENYING GPA 91-07, WHICH PROPOSED TO
AMEND THE GENERAL PLAN MAP OF THE CITY OF
GILROY TO INCLUDE LANDS AT COHANSEY AVENUE AND
NO NAME UNO WITHIN THE TWENTY-YEAR PLANNING
AREA, AND TO DESIGNATE THOSE LANDS
PROFESSIONAL OFFICE
WHEREAS, Carlo and Evelyn Pedron have submi tted GPA
91-07, which would amend the General Plan map of the City of Gilroy
to include lands currently outside the general plan area within the
twenty-year planning area, and to designate those lands, generally
located at the corner of Cohansey Avenue and No Name Uno, as
Professional Office, as shown on the map attached as Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission upon giving the required
notice, did on the 5th day of December, 1991, conduct a duly
advertised public hearing as prescribed by law, to consider GPA
91-07 and passed Resolution No. 91-29 making certain findings and
recommending that GPA 91-07 be denied by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council upon giving the required
notice, has on the 16th day of December, 1991, conducted a duly
advertised public hearing as prescribed by law, to consider
GPA 91-07; and
WHEREAS, based on the evidence in the record before it,
the city Council concurs with the findings of the Planning
Commission and further finds that approving GPA 91-07 would not be
in the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
A. The Negative Declaration prepared for this project
in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act hereby
is not approved; and
B. GPA 91-07 should be and hereby is denied, and the

General Plan map of the City of Gilroy is not amended as proposed
therein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of December, 1991, by
