RESOLUTION NO. 92- 16
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY APPROVING FUNDING OF A HOUSING CODE
ENFORCEMENT PROJECT FROM PROGRAM INCOME FROM
THE HOUSING REHABILITATION REVOLVING LOAN
FUND, AMENDING THE TARGET AREA OF THE ENFORCE-
MENT PROGRAM, SETTING GUIDELINES FOR THE
HOUSING CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET AND
INCLUDING THAT BUDGET IN THE CITY I S ANNUAL
BUDGET HEARINGS
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy, by entering into a Joint
Exercise of Powers Agreement with the County of Santa Clara, has
qualified the County of Santa Clara as an urban county applicant
for Community Development Block Grant entitlement grants under
Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, and
thereby received such funds for City use; and
WHEREAS, the city's Housing Rehabilitation Revolving Loan
Fund consists in part of such grants; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Code Enforcement pilot Project has
been successful in attacking problems of substandard housing within
the city, and it is desirable to continue the Project on a perma-
nent basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
A. The Housing Code Enforcement Project shall be funded
from Program Income from the Housing Rehabilitation Revolving Loan
Fund; and
B. The target area of the Project shall be amended to
conform to the map attached hereto and incorporated herein; and
C. Details of the annual Housing Code Enforcement
project budget should be similar to the pilot Project, and should
be considered and approved during the City'S annual budget hear-
ings; and
D. The City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this
Resolution with the Clerk of the Santa Clara County Board of

Supervisors for consideration and approval by the Board under its
Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement with the city.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1992 by the
following vote:
