RESOLUTION NO. 93 - 22
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING THE COURAGEOUS AND
EXTRAORDINARY ASSISTANCE AND HEROIC ACTIONS OF JEREMY WILLIAMS, A MEMBER OF BOY
SCOUT TROOP 7ll IN GILROY.
WHEREAS, JEREMY WILLIAMS, a member of Boy Scout Troop 7ll in Gilroy,
California; and
WHEREAS, on July 30, 1992 through the alert, courageous and capable actions
of JEREMY WILLIAMS exhibiting skill and resourcefulness saved the life of his
elderly next door neighbor, Alta Ryan; and
WHEREAS, for his outstanding actions, JEREMY WILLIAMS is the recipient of the
National Heroism Award of the National Court of Honor, Irving, Texas, placing him
in a very elite group of scouts.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gilroy and
on behalf of the citizens of our community that special recognition, commendation
and due honor be given to
"JEREMY WILLIAMS"
as an outstanding young citizen of Gilroy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of April, 1993, by the following vote:
