RESOLUTION NO. 93 - 79
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY IN RECOGNITION AND COMMENDATION TO
GILROY pop WARNER FOOTBALL - PEE WEE DIVISION - COACHES AND PLAYERS
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Pop Warner Football - Pee Wee Division are members of
the Peninsula Pop Warner Association; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Pop Warner Football - Pee Wee Divieion, in the August 1,
1993 to December 31, 1993 season, have been undefeated champions in the Pee Wee
Division, the League Pee Wee Division and Regional Pee Wee Division; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Pop Warner Football - Pee Wee Division are true
champions and have won the National Bowl Game defeating Everett, Massachusetts
22-0; and
WHEREAS, it is through the efforts of the coaches and their positive role
model and through their athletic ability in promoting youth activities that have
made Gilroy Pop Warner Football - Pee Wee Division winners in competitive athletics
and should be highly commended in promoting youth activities.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Gilroy City Council is proud and wish
to officially recognize and congratulate the Gilroy Pop Warner Football - Pee Wee
Division coaches and players for their accomplishments and achievements and hereby
commend them for receiving this prestigious well earned title and outstanding
season.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Gilroy City Council extend their very best
wishes and continued success in future endeavors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of DeCember, 1993, by the following vote:
