RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
SETTING PRIORITIES FOR PROJECTS ELIGIBLE FOR
FUNDING FROM THE TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT
(TDA) ARTICLE 3 PROGRAM FUNDS THROUGH THE
CONGESTION MANAGEMENT AGENCY (CMA) AND THE
METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (MTC).
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA) makes funds
available in the nine-county Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC)
Region for Pedestrian/Bicycle purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Transportation Agency (TA), is
responsible for compiling a priority list of projects from its Member
Agencies; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara county TA and the MTC requires TDA applicants
to obtain from the City Council an Approval of Priorities for fiscal year
1994-95; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy, a Member Agency, is eligible to receive
funds for qualifying projects if the City Council at its meeting sets
priorities for eligible projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Gilroy hereby sets the priorities for its eligible projects, as shown in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and incorporated herein by this reference.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, 1994 by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: KLOECKER, MORALES, ROGERS, ROWLISON, VALDEZ and
GILROY.
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: GAGE.
