Resolution 1995-27 . . RESOLUTION NO. 95-27 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY RESETTING NUMERICAL LIMITS FOR MAXIMUM TOTAL NUMBER OF RESIDENTIAL DWELLING UNITS TO BE BUILT DURING EACH OF THE YEARS 1996 THROUGH 2003, INCLUSIVE WHEREAS, pursuant to section 50.63 (a) of the City of Gilroy Residential Development Ordinance the City Council of the city of Gilroy shall determine Annual Numerical Limits setting the maximum total number of dwelling units to be built each year during a subsequent ten-year goal period; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 50.63(b) the City of Gilroy Residential Development Ordinance, once each year of the ten-year goal period, the city Council of the City of Gilroy shall hold a public hearing and shall adopt a resolution reaffirming, readjust- ing, and resetting the Numerical Limits for each of the subsequent calendar years remaining in the ten-year goal period; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Gilroy held a duly noticed public hearing at its regularly scheduled meeting on April 3, 1995, at which time it considered the five- and ten-year housing goals, the number of units previously issued permits under assigned build-out schedules, units for which build- out schedules have been assigned, and units previously determined to be exempt from the Residential Development Ordinance under Section 50.62(b), and upon such consideration, set the Numerical Limits for the subsequent calendar years remaining in the ten-year goal period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Gilroy hereby sets Numerical Limits for each of the calendar years 1996 through 2003, inclusive, as set forth on the attached Exhibit "A", which combines the previously remaining allocation in the years 1996, 1997 and 1998 (respectively 40, 17 and 30 dwelling units) into 1998 for a total of 87 units remaining -1- . . in that year, with the scheduled buildout in the years 1999 through 2003 continued as set in 1994. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the council hereby cancels the 1995 RDO competition and combines it with next year's applica- tion period (May/June 1996).
