RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 63
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING A ONE-WAY STOP ON EIGHTH STREET AT THE TEE INTERSECTION
OF EIGHTH AND ALEXANDER STREETS.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has studied traffic conditions at the
intersection of Eighth and Alexander Streets and determined that traffic flow
warrants the installation of a stop sign on Eighth Street at the intersection of
Eighth and Alexander Streets; and
WHEREAS, under Section 15.50 of the Gilroy City Code, the City
Administrator is required to cause stop signs to be erected and maintained at any
entrance to an intersection designated for a required stop by resolution of the
City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Community
Development is hereby directed to install a stop sign on Eighth Street at the
intersection of Eighth and Alexander Streets.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August, 1995, by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS; GILROY, KLOECKER, MORALES, ROWLISON, VALDEZ
and GAGE.
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBER; ROGERS.
