RESOLUTION NO. 98-9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ADOPTING THE CAL TRANS OFFICE OF LOCAL PROGRAMS PRE-
APPROVED DBE PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
ADMINISTRATOR TO DESIGNATE A DBE LIAISON OFFICER
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy has received approval for funding through the federal
Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) for various projects; and
WHEREAS, the ISTEA program is administered by the Federal Highway Administration
(FHW A) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans); and
WHEREAS, FHW A and Caltrans rules require local agencies to adopt a Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises (DBE) Program, and designate a DBE Liaison.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Gilroy
hereby adopts the Caltrans DBE Pre-Approved Program and authorizes the City Administrator to
designate a DBE Liaison Officer.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of February, 1998 by the following vote:
