RESOLUTION NO. 98-38
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCll. OF THE CITY OF Gll.ROY APPROVING
DESIGNATION OF THE ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the City Council pursuant to Resolution No, 91-48 entered into an Agreement
For Legal Services dated August 5, 1991 with the law firm of Berliner Cohen ("BC") (formerly known
as Berliner, Cohen & Biagini); naming Linda A. Callon as the City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement For Legal Services allows the designation of Deputy City
Attorneys by BC with the concurrence of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Jolie Houston is an associate attorney in BC, having been admitted to practice as
an attorney in the Supreme Court of the State of California and formerly serving as the Deputy City
Attorney for the City of Santa Clara since 1994.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The City Council hereby confirms and approves the designation of Jolie Houston as the
Assistant City Attorney.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July, 1998 by the following vote:
