RESOLUTION NO. 99-2
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING THE 1999 SALARY SCHEDULE FOR FIRE PERSONNEL
WHEREAS, the City Council does establish salaries for city officers and employees by
resolution; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the salaries for 1999 for the Fire
personnel as set forth in the attached salary schedule consisting of one (1) page, is hereby
approved and established at Two (2%) percent and effective on January 1, 1999.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of January, 1999 by the following vote:

Fire shift personnel receive 6.37% of base pay in lieu of holidays. Hourly rate for 40 hour week is based on base
divided by 173.33. Hourly rate for 56 hour week is based on base divided by 242.48.
Uniform allowance of $670 per year, paid between July 1 and July 15.
Bilingual pay of 4.0% of base per Fire Chiefs approval and test.
