RESOLUTION NO. 99-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY ACCEPTING THE IRREVOCABLE OFFER TO
DEDICATE AN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC STREET AND
ROAD PURPOSES AFFECTING A PORTION OF SAID LAND
IDENTIFIED BY APN 783-20-009, KNOWN AS THE LANDS
OF LARSON.
WHEREAS, an irrevocable offer to dedicate an easement for public street and road
purposes affecting the portion of the real property identified by APN 783-20-009, further
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated by this reference (referred to as the
"Interest"), was recorded on October 27, 1975 in Book B 687, Page 115, Official Records; and
WHEREAS, this irrevocable offer to dedicate an easement for public street and road
purposes was executed by Ralph Doan and Betty Doan in favor of the County of Santa Clara, or
its successor agencies and assigns; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy is a successor agency to the County of Santa Clara; and
WHEREAS, this irrevocable offer to dedicate an easement for public street and road
purposes affects the northerly 50 feet of said land, APN 783-20-009; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 7050 governs irrevocable offers of dedication of
real property for any public purpose which includes but is not limited to, streets, highways, paths,
alleys, including access rights and abutters rights, drainage, open space, public utility or other
public easements, parks or other public places; and
WHEREAS, such offer of dedication, when recorded III the Office of the County
Recorder shall be irrevocable and may be accepted at any time by the City Council of the City
within which such real property is located at the time of the acceptance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The City Council of the City of Gilroy hereby accepts the irrevocable offer of dedication
of the Interest identified by APN 783-20-009 as recorded on October 27,1975, in BookB 687,
Page 115, Official Records ofthe County of Santa Clara.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 1999, by the following vote:

Exhibit A
A strip of land 50 feet in width being a portion of that certain parcel of land described as
parcel one in that joint tenancy Grant Deed, Parades to Doan et ux as said deed is recorded in
Book B 458 Official Records, Page 382, Office of the Recorder, County of Santa Clara, State of
California. The most northerlv line of said 50 foot strip being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Morey Avenue (as shown 40 feet
wide) with the dividing line between lots C and D Perry Dowdy Subdivision Recorded in Book 1
of Maps Page 143, Santa Clara County Records, then N 89050' W 480.90 feet to the
Northeasterly comer of said parcel, which is the true point of beginning; thence from said true
Point of Beginning N 89050' W 200.00 feet to the northwesterly comer of said parcel and the
terminus of this description.
