RESOLUTION NO. 99-43
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
GRANTING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO
MAKE APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA HOUSING FINANCE
AGENCY FOR THE HELP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gilroy has received notice ofa funding
announcement from the California Housing Finance Agency (CHF A) to allow cities and counties
to apply to CHF A for unsecured loans of up to 2 million per funding cycle; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to proceed with an application to CHF A for an
unsecured loan to implement Mixed-Use Housing Rehabilitation projects in the Downtown.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Gilroy
hereby grants authority to the City Administrator to make application to CHF A for the HELP
Program to incur an indebtedness and execute loan agreements, commit specific local government
agency resources as also detailed in the proposal to CHF A, and take other actions necessary to
facilitate the proposed program.
