RESOLUTION NO. 2000-03
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING THE JANUARY 1,2000 SALARY SCHEDULE FOR
THE GILROY POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City Council does establish salaries for city officers and employees by
resolution; and
WHEREAS, A Memorandum of Understanding currently has been negotiated between the
City and the bargaining unit for Police Personnel at a salary increase of Two (2%) percent,
effective January I, 2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the salaries effective January 1, 2000 for
the Gilroy Police Association personnel as set forth in the attached schedule consisting of one (I)
page, is hereby approved and established and effective on January 1, 2000.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January, 2000 by the following vote:

NOTE: Personnel (Sworn and Non-Sworn) who work holidays receive 6.37% of their base pay in lieu of holidays.
NP Classes receive $500.00 per year uniform allowance.
SP Classes receive $874.00 per year uniform allowance.
SP/SOG receive a one time $200.00 uniform/equipment requirement
SP/CIRT receive a one time $150.00 uniform/equipment requirement
SWORN PERSONNEL
5% Educational Incentive available for an AA1AS Degree or an Intermediate POST Certificate.
7.5% Educational incentive available for a BAlBS Degree (or higher) or an Advanced POST Certificate.
5% Bilingual, based on Police Chiefs approval and test.
(Maximum educational total: 7.5%)
