RESOLUTION NO. 2000-10
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY SETTING FORTH PERMISSlliLE GAMES
AUTHORIZED FOR PLAY IN CARDROOMS PURSUANT TO
GILROY MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 16.6-1 ET SEQ.
WHEREAS, the Cardroom Ordinance, City of Gilroy Municipal Code 16.6-1, et seq.,
authorizes the City Council to adopt by resolution a list of permissible games that cardrooms
permitted under the Cardroom Ordinance can allow to be played on their premises; and
WHEREAS, no game can be played in any cardroom unless it is listed as a permissible
game; and
WHEREAS, each cardroom permittee shall file with the Chief of Police a set of proposed
rules on how each game is to be played, which rules will be reviewed and revised, rejected or
approved by the Chief of Police; and
WHEREAS, the permittee shall allow the playing of permissible games only in strict
conformity with rules that are approved by the Chief of Police.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council hereby determines as
follows:
The following games are permissible games pursuant to the Cardroom Ordinance,
Gilroy Municipal Code 16.6-1 et seq.:
1. Lo Ball
2. Stud Hi
3. Hi Draw Poker
