Resolution 2001-31 -- /1, ThomasVV. Springe, RESOLUTION NO. 2001-31 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY TO INSTALL TEMPORARY ALL-WAY STOP CONTROL AT THE INTERSECTION OF MONTEREY STREET AND 8TH STREET IN THE CITY OF GILROY PURSUANT TO SECTION 15.40 OF THE CITY CODE VVHEREAS, construction delays due to weather and unforeseen circumstances may delay the operation of traffic signals at Monterey Street and 8lh Street; and VVHEREAS, stop warrants allow the installation of an all-way stop as an interim measure while arrangements are being made for signal installing; and VVHEREAS, under Section 15.40 of the Gilroy City Code, the City Administrator is required to cause stop signs to be erected and maintained at any entrance to an intersection designated for a required stop by resolution of the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT vehicles shall be required to stop at all entrances to the intersection of Monterey Street and 811> Street and the City Administrator is hereby directed to instruct the Director of Community Services to install stop signs at the intersection of Monterey Street and 8lh Street.
