RESOLUTION NO. 2001-47
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING STOP CONTROL AT THE INTERSECTION
OF RAILROAD STREET AND LEWIS STREET IN THE CITY
OF GILROY PURSUANT TO SECTION 15.40 OF THE CITY CODE
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has studied traffic conditions at the intersection of
Railroad Street aod Lewis Street aod determined that right-of-way assignment warraots
the installation of stop control for the Railroad Street approach at this intersection; aod
WHEREAS, under Section 15.40 of the Gilroy City Code, the City Administrator is
required to cause stop signs to be erected aod maintained at any entraoce to an intersection
designated for a required stop by resolution of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT vehicles shall be required to stop
at the Railroad Street approach to the intersection of Railroad Street aod Lewis Street
aod the City Administrator is hereby directed to instruct the Director of Community
Services to install stop control at the Railroad Street approach to the intersection of
Railroad Street and Lewis Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August, 2001 by the following vote:
