RESOLUTION NO. 2002-21
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING STOP CONTROL ON MARIA WAY AT ITS
INTERSECTION WITH AMANDA AVENUE IN THE CITY
OF GILROY PURSUANT TO SECTION 15.40 OF THE CITY CODE
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has studied traffic conditions at the intersection of
Maria Way and Amanda Avenue and determined that right-of-way assignment warrants
the installation of stop control on Maria Way; and
WHEREAS, under Section 15.40 of the Gilroy City Code, the City Administrator is
required to cause stop signs to be erected and maintained at any entrance to an intersection
designated for a required stop by resolution of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT vehicles shall be required to stop
at the entrance of Maria Way at its intersection with Amanda Avenue, and the City
Administrator is hereby directed to instruct the Director of Community Services to install
a stop sign on Maria Way at its intersection with Amanda Avenue.
