RESOLUTION NO. 2003-08
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY TO
INSTALL TEMPORARY ALL-WAY STOP CONTROL AT THE
INTERSECTION OF CAMINO ARROYO AND RENZ LANE IN
THE CITY OF GLROY PURSUANT TO SECTION 15.40 OF THE
CITY CODE
WHEREAS, construction delays due to weather and unforeseen circumstances may
delay the operation of traffic signals at Camino Arroyo and Renz Lane; and
WHEREAS, stop warrants allow the installation of an all-way stop as an interim
measure while arrangements are being made for signal installation; and
WHEREAS, under Section 15.40 of the Gilroy City code, the City Administrator is
required to cause stop signs to be erected and maintained at any entrance to an intersection
designated for a required stop by resolution of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT vehicles shall be required to stop at
all entrances to the intersection of Camino Arroyo and RellZ Lane and the City Administrator is
hereby directed to instruct the Director of Community Services to install stop signs at the
intersection of Camino Arroyo and RellZ Lane.
