RESOLUTION NO. 2005-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING AREAS AND
LIMITED TIME PARKING AREAS ON FIRST STREET FROM MILLER
AVENUE TO SANTA TERESA BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City has studied traffic conditions on First Street between Miller Avenue
and Santa Teresa Boulevard and determined that a traffic safety hazard exists, and;
WHEREAS, the City has investigated availability of parking and concluded that most
businesses have sufficient parking on private property to accommodate their needs; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the City of Gilroy is
authorized to direct the installation of 15 minute parking at 995, 1177 and 1323 First Street, two-
hour parking at 752 and 756 First Street,leave 766 and 754 First Street as unrestricted parking,
and the installation of no stopping, standing parking (red curb) at the remaining sections of the
north side and south side of First Street from Miller Street to Santa Teresa Boulevard.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of April, 2005 by the following vote:
