A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE BAY AREA
AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT FOR FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
THE MONTEREY STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZING THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF SAME IF THE APPLICATION IS APPROVED BY THE
BAY AREA AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF GILROY is a supporter of clean air and wishes to take action
to enhance air quality in the San Francisco Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, the CITY OF GILROY intends to submit a funding application to the Bay
Area Air Quality Management District for the Monterey Streetscape Improvements;
Now, therefore, be it resolved:
1. That the City Administrator is authorized to submit such application for the City Council;
2. That the City Administrator is authorized to execute a funding agreement with the Bay Area
Air Quality Management District for the purposes of the Monterey Streetscape
Improvements if said application is approved by the Bay Area Air Quality Management
District Board of Directors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September, 2005 by the following vote:

VALIQUETTE, VELASCO, and PINHEIRO
