RESOLUTION NO. 2007-43
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE SANTA
CLARA VALLEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR ALOCATION OF
LOCAL STREETS AND COUNTY ROADS PROGRAM FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Local Streets and County Roads (LS & CR) program was established as
part ofthe Valley Transportation Plan 2030 (VTA 2030). This new program provides the Valley
Transportation Authority (VT A) grant funds for local streets and county road projects for Local
Measure A Funds, and
WHEREAS, VT A has listed eligible projects in their VTP 2030, and
WHEREAS, VTA has requested applications for programming phase ofthe Local Streets
and County Roads Program for those projects on their VTP 2030 list, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following project is on the VTP
2030 list and that an application be submitted to the VT A for inclusion in the Local Streets and
County Roads Program effort and that the City of Gilroy is committed for local matching funds
in the amount of$ 4.674.000:
1. Camino Arroyo Bridge Project (Gilman Rd - Arroyo Circle - Camino Arroyo
Improvements VTP ID# RI4).
