RESOLUTION NO. 2007-86
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GILROY DESIGNATING CERTAIN
CITY OFFICIALS WHO ARE AUTHORIZED TO ENTER INTO AND
EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY
WHEREAS, section 703(f) of the City Charter of the City of Gilroy ("City") authorizes
the City Administrator to "[m]ake and execute, on behalf of the City, contracts involving
Council-appropriated expenditures, and bids or proposals approved by the Council"; and
WHEREAS, section 703(g) of the City Charter authorizes the City Administrator to
"[ e ]stablish a purchasing system to meet the needs of all City offices, departments and agencies";
and
WHEREAS, the City's department of finance acts as the City's purchasing agent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gilroy that:
(1) The following persons are authorized to enter into any contract or execute any
instrument duly approved by the City in the name of and on behalf of the City:
Mayor
Mayor Pro Tempore in the absence of the Mayor
City Administrator
Acting City Administrator
Assistant City Administrator
City Treasurer
(2) The following persons or their designees are authorized to execute any contract or
purchase order for materials, supplies, equipment and services in the name of and on behalf of
the City:
