RESOLUTION NO. 2008-53
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING THE
CITY OF GILROY RECORDS RETENTION GUIDELINES ADOPTED AS
RESOLUTION NO. 2003-79 TO PROVIDE FOR THE PERMANENT RETENTION OF
ALL ELECTRONIC CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA AND AGENDA REPORTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gilroy adopted a comprehensive city-wide
policy and schedule for records retention as Resolution No. 2003-79 "City of Gilroy Records
Retention Guidelines" to provide current record retention and destruction time periods for
various departments of the City; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution calls out the need to amend the Records Retention
Guidelines from time to time as needed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed it necessary to retain electronic versions of all
City Council Agenda and Agenda Packet Reports and study session notes for an indefinite period
of time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Gilroy Records
Retention Guidelines, dated November 2003 are amended to add:
Administration - Electronic Versions of City Council Agenda / Agenda Reports and
Study Session notes shall hold a Retention Period - p*
