RESOLUTION NO. 2009-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR SAID CITY FOR FISCAL YEARS 2009-
2010 AND 2010-2011 AND APPROPRIATING PROPOSED
EXPENDITURES FOR PURPOSES SET FORTH IN THE BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has prepared and submitted to the City Council a
budget for the City of Gilroy for the fiscal years 2009-2010 and 2010-2011, and said Council has
carefully examined and considered the same; and
WHEREAS, the said Council did thereafter fix the 8th day of June, 2009 at the hour of
7:00 o'clock p.m. as the time, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7351 Rosanna Street,
Gilroy, California, and place for a Public Hearing on said proposed budget and caused a notice
thereof to be published not less than ten (10) days prior to the said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the said proposed budget for 2009-2010 as finally revised provides for
anticipated revenue totaling $101,169,790 and anticipated expenditures totaling $95,186,254,
and said proposed budget for 2010-2011 as finally revised provides for anticipated revenue
totaling $85,129,707 and anticipated expenditures totaling $103,103,831, and said budget is now
before the Council for adoption and said Council is satisfied with said budget as finally revised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby ordered that said proposed
budget including the anticipated revenues, expenditures and un-appropriated surpluses, as
revised, be and the same is hereby appropriated and adopted as the budget of the City of Gilroy
for the fiscal years 2009-20 I 0 and 2010-2011 and that a certified copy of said adopted budget
shall be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk and be available for the individuals and

agencies and organizations as specified in Section 1103 of the Charter; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from the effective date of the budget, the several
amounts stated therein as proposed expenditures shall be and become appropriated to the several
offices, agencies and departments for the respective objects and purposes therein specified.

attached Resolution No. 2009-19 is an original resolution, or true and correct copy of a city
resolution, duly adopted by the Council of the City of Gilroy at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 8th day of June, 2009, at which meeting a quorum was present.
