A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING TRANSMITTAL
OF THE PRELIMINARY REPORT TO THE AFFECTED TAXING
ENTITIES FOR THE GILROY COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AREA AND AUTHORIZING TRANSMITTAL OF THE
DRAFT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA PLAN
AND DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE PROJECT
UPON THEIR COMPLETION
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Health & Safety Code
Section 33344.5 and to direction by the Community Development
Agency of the City of Gilroy (the "Agency"), staff and
consultants have prepared for distribution to each affected
taxing entity a Preliminary Report for the Gilroy Community
Redevelopment Project (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Community Redevelopment
Law, the Agency is required to distribute the Preliminary
Report to all affected taxing entities; and
WHEREAS, staff and consultants are in the process of
preparing a Draft Environmental Impact Report and Draft
Community Redevelopment Project Area Plan (the "Draft Plan")
for the Project; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the Draft Environmental
Impact Report and Draft Plan, and subsequent to initial
consultation with the fiscal review committee, if one is
created, California Community Redevelopment Law and the
California Environmental Quality Act require that a copy of
the Draft Environmental Impact Report and Draft Plan be sent
to each affected taxing entity, to the fiscal review committee
(if one is created), and to various other interested persons
and entities.

BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT:
1. Staff is hereby authorized and directed to distribute
the Preliminary Report to the affected taxing entities.
2. Staff is further authorized to proceed with the
preparation of the Draft Plan and Draft Environmental Impact
Report; and to continue the procedures for consultation on and
review of said documents as mandated by the California
Community Redevelopment Law.
3. Staff is further specifically authorized and
directed, upon completion of the Draft Plan and Draft
Environmental Impact Report, to distribute such documents to
all interested parties and affected taxing entities as
required by law.
