AN ORDINANCE PROHIBrrING THE PAHKING OF VEHICLES UPON
A CERTAIN POR'rION OF OLD GILEOY STREET AND REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR P.L\.RTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE
PROVISIONS HEREOF.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The operator of a vehicle shall not
park such vehicle on Old Gilroy Street between the two'
certain signs erected on said Street on the Southerly
side thereof; such signs giving notice to the public
that such parking is prohibited between said signs.
The first sign herein referred to is erected 103 feet
Easterly from the Southeasterly corner of Old Gilroy
street and Monterey Streetl on the southerly side of
Old Gilroy Street; and the second sign is erected at a
point on the same side of said Old Gilroy Street I 10 feet
6 inches Easterly thereof. The curbing between said signs
shall be painted red at all times.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm, partnership, or
corporation violating any of the provisions of this or-
dinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not
more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars or by imprisonment

in the City Jail for a period of not more than thirty (30)
days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day
or fraction thereof any person, firm, partnership, or
corporation shall violate any of the provisions hereof
shall be considered separate and distinct offenses.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
