DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:-

SEc'rION 1. For the purpose of setting forth proper
regulations for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical
energy, electric service, electric wlring, devices, appliances,
and equipment for use within said City and providing inspection
thereof, the issuance of permits, certificates and collection of
fees therefor, the imposing of penalties for violation of this
ordinance, the Uniform Electrical Code published by the Pacific
Coast Electrical Bureau, 1941 Edition, and as hereinafter set
forth, is hereby adopted; save and excepting that Section 23
thereof is not a part of' this ordinance, and is not adopted under
or pursuant to the terms of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. There is hereby added to SECTION 5 of
said Uniform Electrical Code the following:

corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance

shall be deened ;~ilty o~ a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof' shall be punished by a n.ne of not more than One
Hundred UplOO.OO) Dollars or by imprisonment in the City
Jail for a per ioc] of not more than thirty (30) days, or
by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day or fraction
thereof' any person, firm, partnership, or corporation shall
violate any of the provisions hereof shall be considered
separate and distinct offenses.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage and approval.
