ORDINANCE NO. 444
AN ORDINANCE OF' THE CITY OF GILROY REGULATING AND CONTROLLING
THE RIGHT OF CERTAIN MINORS TO BE ON ANY STREET, SQUARE, OR PUBLIC
PLACE WITHIN SAID CITY AFTER CERTAIN HOURS; REPEALING SECTION 413,
PART IV, ART. 1, ORDINANCE NO. 159 OF THE SAID CITY OF' GILROY, AND
PRESCRIBING THE PUNISHMENT FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
ORDINAN CE.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age
of elghteen"~ (~8) years to be on any street. square" or in any public
place within said City after the hour of 10:00 P.M. Daylight Saving
Time" and between said hour and daylight of the following morning;
unless such minor is accompanied by a parent" guardian" or other
person having the lawful custody and control of said minor.
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any parent" guard,ian"
/
or other person having lawful custody and control of such minor,
so under the age of .e1gb.:teen'~ (le) years" to permit" suffer" or allow
said minor to be upon any street, square, or public place within the
City of Gilroy after the hour of 10:00 P.M. Daylight Saving Time, and
between said hour and daylight of the following morning.
SECTION 3. Section 413, Part IV, Art. 1, Ordinance No. 159
of the City of Gilroy" and all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. Any person or persons violating or wilfully non-
complying with any provisions of this Ordinance is guilty of a
misdemeanor" and shall upon conviction thereof be punished by a fine
not exceeding One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars" or by ~mprisonment in
the City Prison not exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine
and imprisonment.

force from and after its passage and approval.
