AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTmTION OF THE COllMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GILROY TO VACATE A CERTAIN THOROUGHFARE,
PUBLI C ALLEY OR STREET, COMMONLY KN OWN AS BALDOCCHI ALLEY:

THE MAYOR AND CODON COUN CIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DO OR-
DAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy
do hereby declare their intention to vacate a certain street,
public alley or thoroughfare in the said City of Gilroy, commonly
known as Baldocchi Alley, reference being made to the map on file
in the office of the City Clerk for particulars for the proposed
vacation.
SECTION 2. A description of said public alley, street or
thoroughfare is as follows, to wit:
BEING that certain 18 foot wide public alley lying between Lots 6
and ." in Block 2 North, Range 1 East, in the Cit'1 of Gilro'1 as said
alle'1, lots, and block are shown upon Map No .10 accompanying the
Final Report of the Referees in the Las Animas Rancho Partition Suit,
Action No.5536 had in the Superior Court of the state or California
in and for the County of Santa Clara, and more particularl'1 described
as follows:
"BEGINNING at the westerl'1 corner to Lot 7 in the easterly
line of Monterey street distant northerly along said line
of Montere'1 street 105.00 teet from the northerl'1 line of
Martin Street and running thence along said line of Monterey
Street northerly 18.00 feet; thence easterly along the
southerl'1 line of Lot 6 193.05 feet to the westerly line of
a public alle'1 at a point distant thereon northerl'1 119.55
reet from the northerl'1 line of Martin street; thence
southerl'1 along said alle'1 line 18.00 feet;thenee westerl'1
along the northerl'1 line of Lot." 193.05 teet to the point
of beginning."
SECTION 3. Notice is hereb'1 given that a public hearing will be
had on "enda'1, the 3rd day ot Februar,., 1947 at the hour of 8 0' clock
P.M. of said day in the office of the City Clerk,in the City Hall,
in the City ot Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, state of California,
before the Common Council of said Cit'1 at which time all persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may be heard.

SECTION 4. It is ordered that one publication of this
Ordinance be made in the Gilroy Evening Dispatch at a date
not less than 15 da'1s of the passage of this ordinance;
that notice of such proposed street vacation shall be posted
conspiciously along the line of said street proposed to be
vacated in at least three places.
SECTION 5. All ordinance and parts of ordinances in con-
flict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
torce froa and atter its passage and appreval.
