'" k } '''''".,tIt ORDINANCE NO. 458 l'--l G, 4-53-- AN ORDINANCE OF' INTENTION OF THE CITY OF GILROY TO PROCEED UNDER THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941 AND VACATE CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE SO CALLED GURRIES TRACT AREA OF' THE CITY OF GILROY. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' GILROY having determined that certain street and alley hereinafter described are no longer necessary for present or prospective public street and alley use, and desiring to proceed under the authority of the street Vacation Act of 1941 to vacate and abandon such street and alley, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Proceedings shall be initiated for the ~acation and abandonment of the following described street and alley within said city: a. All of Gurries Drive lying between the Easterly line of Church Street and the Easterly line of Tract 232, according to the Map of said Tract on file with the City Clerk of the City of Gilroy. b. All of the 20 foot wide alley lying between the Northerly line of First Street ana Gurries Drive, and between Lot 1 in Tract 232 and the Easterly boundary of Tract 232, according to the Map of said Tract on file with the City Clerk of the City of Gilroy. SECTION 2: This proposed abandonment shall in no way affect the right of way over said street and Alley now held by the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company as set forth in the right of way agreement now of record with the Recorder of Santa Clara County. SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be published, and said street and alley posted as required in said Street Vacation Act of 1941, and the 4th day of May, 1948, at 8:30 P.M. o'clock, at the City Hall, Gilroy, California, is designated as the time and place at which said Common Council shall hear any and all evidence 1{8 -1- ~- L '~ ~.
