ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION 27 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 480 OF S~ID CITY, COWJONLY KNOWN AS THE
TRAFFIC ORDINANCE, PROVIDING PLACES ON MONTEREY STREET
AT VrnICH "U" TURNS MAY BE MADE.
THE MAYOR A~~ THE COWfiON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION~: Section No. 27 of Ordinance No. 480 of
the City of Gilroy, commonly known as the traffic ordinance,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 27. Authority to Place Restricted Turn
Signs and Designate Places Where "Un Turns may be
made.. No "U" turns shall be made by the driver of
any vehicle upon the intersection at First and
Monterey Streets, or upon the intersection at
Seventh and Monterey streets in the City of Gilroy,
or at any place on Monterey street between said
intersections.
SECTION I!Q: The Chief Administrative Officer of the
City of Gilroy is hereby directed to cause to be erected and
put in place appropriate signs indicating that no "U" turns
/
may be made upon Vonterey street in the City of Gilroy in the
ar~a described in Section One of this Ordinance.
SECTION THREE: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION FOUR: This ordinance will take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage and approval.
