GILROY, WHICH ADDED A NE\'l ARTIClE TO ORDINANCE NO. 480 OF THE CITY OF GILROY, DESIGNATED AS ARTIClE VI-l/2, PROVIDING FOR MJD DESCRIBING YIELD RIGHT or WAY INTERSECTIONS AND THE PLACING OF YIEW RIGHT OF WAY SIGNS Th'E MAYOR AND COMPON COUNCIL or THE CITY CF GILROY DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION!: Ordinance No. 537 of the City of Gilroy is hereby amenoed to read as follows: ARTICill VI-l/2 SPECIAL YIELD RIGHT OF WAY REQUIRED Section 32.1. Chief Administrative Officer to erect Yie~~~Blqht of Way Signs. Whenever any ordinance or resolution of this City ~esignates and describes any intersection at which vehicles are required to yield the right of way at one or more entrances thereto in accordance with Section 550.1 of the Vehicle Code, the Chief Administrative Officer shall erect and maintain yieln right of way signs as follows: . A yield right of way sign shall be erected on each and every street at those entrances to intersections where a yield right of way is required. Every such sign shall conform with and be placed as provided in Section 471.1 of the Vehicle Code. Section 32.20 Yield Riqht of J!.u..._aJ~__Yj_eJ_(L!~iqht of .WJl~ign. (a) The provisions of this section shall apply at one or more entrances to the intersections as such entrances and intersections are described in Section II of this ordinance. (b) When yield right of way signs are erected as herein provided at the entrance to any intersection, every driver of a vehicle shall control such vehicle as required by Section 550.1 of the Vehicle Code. SECTION II: Said Ordinance No. 480 of the City of Gilroy is hereby amended by adding a new Section thereto designated as Section 71.1, to read as follows: Section 71.1. Yield Righ!_C?-:t~u_l.'!.lersections. In accordance with Section 32(b) of the said Ordinance No. 480 set forth in Section I of this Ordinance and when yield right of way signs are erected giving notice thereof, drivers of vehicles shall yield the right of way at the entrance or entrances of those intersections as follows: 10 On Railroad Street at the north and south entrances to Martin Street, yielding the right of way to other vehicles which have entered the intersection from Martin Street or which are approaching so closely on Martin Street as to cOrRitute an immediate hazard.
